This is a top 1% podcast that I started after being a “stay at home mom” for 18 years with a dusty PhD.

I started this podcast and IG in my bedroom during Covid to help myself and other midlife women dig for expert info to make thousands of sweaty journeys more fab and less ugh. The reviews say I am wickedly smart, really fucking funny, and so relatable that you might just think I’m your real bff. My teenage kids and husband might not agree…they call it TMI. But if you’re like me, you’re here because you love a TMI moment. Maybe you found me because your friend listens to my show, or someone sent you one of my posts on Instagram, or maybe you googled “Why does menopause make me feel like my face is melting off?” No matter the reason, I'm absolutely psyched that you've found me, and I'm more than ready to spill all my golden nuggets of wisdom your way!

We’re normalizing and inspiring a midlife self-reinvention. Life isn’t boring, and it shouldn’t feel boring, especially in midlife. If you’re feeling frumpy and lumpy or stuck in the midlife “ughs”, The Flexible Neurotic is here to help you NOT “midlife crisis”, but get you into what I call the “midlife remix”. Midlife isn’t just happening to you. You have self-responsibility. It’s up to you to do the “work”. No one is coming to rescue you from the “midlife waiting room”  of monotony and being bored AF. You are experiencing a full body “midlife itchies”...a strong and burning sensation that you are craving a rebrand of self. midlife self obsession IS ON!

It’s never too late to start recreating yourself.  Midlife sexy is “in” and it’s all about “choosing you” and “doing you”.  It’s time to be self-obsessed and learn to not cancel on you anymore. We have to mute the “inner bitch” that is telling you that you are too old, too frumpy, not smart enough…all the self-limiting bs we tell ourselves. This is your Midlife Self Obsession Permission Slip. It’s pink and sparkly and has your name written all over it. Choose You! No one is coming to rescue you!

the midlife you want takes work…

But you don’t have to do it alone. We're all a little scared, but guess what? You can be scared and do it anyway. With this podcast and our incredible community, the path to midlife fabulosity is easier than ever before. The external peanut gallery aka “carpool moms” have no relevance. This is a self-focused project. Confidence is a muscle. You know we all should be lifting “the dumb weights” in midlife (the least dumb thing in fact, for brain, body, and heart health). We have to “work out” the confidence muscle. It’s one small step, then the next. And, maybe a “midlife nap” on the side.  All it takes is one small step to make a real difference (and doing it in pink fuzzy slippers will make those midlife steps all the more fabulous). So let's take that step together, jump off the midlife hamster wheel of sameness for some new shit! We make our kids try new shit, but we don’t put the same standards on ourselves.
