Does midlife sometimes feel like a giant fckn’ mountain with varying terrain, no water, no sweatband? Then that same mountain, the next day is easy peasy, you could hike in 15 minutes without sweating? This is “Midlife Mountain”. You never know what to expect from day to day. There are huge challenges, the never ending hamster wheel of boredom, potentially some annoying teens (but you are savoring cause they will be out of the nest soon), and never ending “to do” lists, while you are sweating in unexpected places. “Midlife Mountain” is a metaphor for all the physical and psychological changes in midlife, or what sometimes feels like a slippery slope! Wanna feel and know that you aren’t the only one feeling like you are in a dungeon or on top of the sky, then listen here for the mountain weather conditions and tips for all the terrain ahead.

This week, I use my golden sh*t shovel to dig deep into the ever changing and challenging midlife self reinvention journey in a minisode called, “Midlife Mountain”. I talk about how I am traveling through my own terrain, on what I call the “Midlife Mountain” and explain what that can look like for you too. Those metaphorical tight ski pants brewing a yeast infection is always a good time. But, if you know me, I have the medicine bag for everything. There are different slopes and paths that we can explore on this journey…and they each come with different experiences and lessons. Meet me on the bunny slopes of this midlife climb…some days are rocky and moody…there are also smooth and creative days. It is up to you to decide what paths you want to take and what “work” you want to put in this midlife self exploration.
